In 1952, Chavis Furniture and Appliance opened the doors for the first time in Mobile, Alabama featuring Whirlpool washers, dryers and refrigerators. Mel and Virginia Chavis established the business on providing working people with a good reliable product and a fair price. As important as price is, personal service and product knowledge are the other corner stones in making Chavis Furniture and Appliance a store recommended for nearly 60 years.

Today, you will still find personal service, good pricing and the largest selection of built-in appliances in south Alabama. We specialize in custom kitchens from brands like Jenn-Air, Kitchen Air, Monogram, GE Profile and Frigidaire Professional.

Bring us your plans and dreams and we'll sit down with you and help you build your woo-ha kitchen. On display you will see over 40 ovens, 25 cooktops, 50 dishwashers and lots ice machines, compactors and the nice part is that many of the products are connected so you can try it before you buy it. Quality furniture is hard to find today. Chavis offers solid wood bedroom and dining room furniture by Mobel. An American company with product made in Ferdinand, Indiana.

We also offer products from Hooker Furniture, Lexington Home Brands, Catnapper, Coaster and Ashley.

OUR STAFF

Tom and Dan Chavis both grew-up in the business own and manage the company today. Our support staff is the best with a minimum of 10 years experience in the furniture and appliance industry. They are knowledgeable, have a spirit of helpfulness and have one goal in mind - to help you match your needs with the right products. Our delivery personnel are the best at getting your appliances and furniture in your home with damage to either.
